ULYSSES Journeys offer young composers and performers the opportunity to take part in courses,  workshops and residencies, but also to have concrete working experiences, through commissions and concerts.

Conductors Jonas Ehrler and Estrella Besson are selected to take part in the Orchestra Conducting Course
 organised by  Divertimento Ensemble in September 2022 as part of their perfomer journeys. The course is dedicated to repertoire for ensemble
from the early 20th Century to the present. Conductor Sandro Gorli leads the course, along with tutors Stefano Gervasoni (composer) and Maurizio Leoni (baritone). Divertimento Ensemble is the course’s ensemble-in-residence. Conductors benefit from six hours of score analysis and six hours of rehearsals followed by meetings with the tutors. Course participants have the opportunity of rehearsing and playing with the performers of Divertimento Ensemble and participating in all the activities of the course, including the concluding public concerts in Piedmont and one in Milan, during the Rondo 2022 season.

Within this course, three ULYSSES journeys were also offered to performers Elena Perales Andreau (clarinet), Nicolò Neri (cello) and Paolo Brignoli (violin).
