ULYSSES Journeys offer young composers and performers the opportunity to take part in courses, workshops and residencies, but also to have concrete working experiences, through commissions and concerts.
Mixtur Barcelona’s new sound creation festival, in collaboration with Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya, provides a workshop dedicated to performance aiming for high-level training. The Workshops for Performers Mixtur 2024 is mainly aimed at students and professional performers, of any age and nationality, with interest in the performance of current repertoire. Workshops for players Mixtur 2024 students have the opportunity to work with the flute player Matteo Cesari, the piano player Alberto Rosado and the violin player Caroline Widmann.
Workshop for Players is closely linked to Composition and Sound Experimentation Workshop and to the festival concert programme. Workshop for Players students participate in a concert included in the festival official programme in which they have the opportunity to play a piece by one of the Composition and Sound Experimentation students that they previously worked together.
This year the workshops will host four young performers selected in the framework of their ULYSSES Journeys: Jaume Darbra Fa (Flute, Spain), Alexis Perraud (Violin, France), Juliette Dornaud (Piano, France/Switzerland), Alyona Pynzenyk (Violin, Ukraine)
DATES: 10-20 October, 2024
