Composition and Sound Experimentation Workshop at Festival Mixtur celebrates its 9th edition in 2022. The workshop is an international meeting point where participants have the chance to work with composers and players of high prestige such as Edith Canat de Chizy, Ann Cleare, Agustí Charles, Michael Beil, Misato Mochizuki, Isabel Mundry and Jose María Sánchez Verdú, Trio Accanto, Enno Poppe, Lotte Anker and Biliana Voutchkov. Participation in the workshop includes indvidual classes, instrumental or electroacoustic experimentation, master classes and lectures, reading sessions with a performer or ensemble, free access to the festival activities and open spaces where participants can become acquainted with each other’s work.

From this edition onwards the workshop is part of the ULYSSES Project and it includes the participation of two young composers  who are actively involved in all the workshop activities as part of their ULYSSES Journey for Composers, Jinwook Jung and Aino Tenkanen.

Dates of the Composition and Sound Experimentation Workshop 2022:

• Workshop A takes place from 6-9 October  2022, with teachers: Michael Beil, Edith Canat de Chizy, Agustí Charles and Misato Mochizuki.
• Workshop B takes place from 13-16 October  2022, with teachers: Agustí Charles, Ann Cleare, Isabel Mundry and José María Sánchez-Verdú.
• On 6 October, Trio Accanto premieres Aino Tenaken’s Miniature (2022)
• On 15  October, Biliana Voutchkova premieres Jinwook Jung’s Plan à vol de corbeau, poème n°4 (2022).
