Each year, Festival Mixtur invites primary school students and teachers to approach contemporary music through creations, improvisation, interaction with professional composers and performers, and participation in festival activities such as open rehearsals and concerts. This is done in partnership with with guest artists and educators and different pedagogical centres from Barcelona.

In 2023, Festival Mixtur is receiving students from Alexandre Galí School and the Ponent Primary School. In addition to listening to a rehearsal of the piece Découpé by Elena Mendoza, the children will interact with the accordionist Olga Morral, one of Mixtur’s 2023 artists. The students will prepare the rehearsal experience with the teacher’s help through listening, analysis and sound experimentation. During this work, questions are developed that lead to a conversation with the artist.

Three Replay experiences are planned in 2023: October 6, 11 and 13.
