IWYC – International Workshop for Young Composers 2024

Period: August 24-31, 2024
Residency in Moncalvo (Piedmont, Northern Italy)

Composers are invited to write an original piece for ensemble or solo instrument. During the residency in Moncalvo, they will have the opportunity to interact with the musicians of Divertimento Ensemble, its conductor and tutors Stefano Gervasoni and Daniele Ghisi.

The composers will also take part in individual lessons with Stefano Gervasoni and with the Divertimento Ensemble conductor Sandro Gorli, in masterclasses held by tutors, and in rehearsals of their own pieces and those of the other composers. At the end of the workshop, all new pieces will be performed by the Divertimento Ensemble.

A composition for ensemble and one for solo instrument will  be selected for a performance in the Milanese season of Divertimento Ensemble, Rondò 2025.
