REPLAY CULTURAL HERITAGE: MIXTUR AT PRIMARY SCHOOL (II)

Festival Mixtur invites students and teachers from different primary schools to get involved with the festival each year. The general objective of “Mixtur at primary school” is to introduce contemporary music to children and music teachers at the Primary Education stage.
In this activity students from the Turó Blau primary school in Barcelona will prepare, with the help of their teachers, attendance at Silvia Rosani’s sound installation “Intermezzo 4” which will be exhibited in the Fabra i Coats area during the first week of the festival. During the preparation period, students carry out listening, analysis and sound experimentation activities, guided by their music teacher. At the same time, questions are raised that will then be addressed to the performers. When attending the activity, the children will participate actively in the proposed workshop, by asking questions and sound exploration, through live manipulation of the objects that form part of the installation.
