Every year, Ultima organises a festival day with experimental music, just for children. BUD, or Ultima’s Children’s Day, includes performances, concerts, workshops and stories in which children are the makers, performers, participants and  protagonists.

This year’s Children’s Day includes performances, ateliers and adventure-packed activities, such as Forest Concerts by Øyvind Torvund, an interactive concert with singing, animation and storytelling performed by the irreverent American quartet Yarn/Wire et al, or a junior version of Pytheas Travels – an imaginative cruise from the ancient Mediterranean to the mythical north, idealised by composer Maja Ratkje and the artist duo Hypercomf. Also featured is a concert composed by local school children, sound painting workshop, ambient music drawing sessions, T-shirt printing, a special food menu and a relaxing corner for babies.
