Each year, Divertimento Ensemble organises the Call for Young Performers / Piano, a masterclass held by Maria Grazia Bellocchio – Divertimento Ensemble’s pianist – and dedicated to the contemporary piano repertoire.

The 2023 edition  is dedicated to the piano production of Tristan Murail and to the contemporary or post 1950s-repertoire proposed by the students. It includes eight meetings to take place between October 2022 and April 2023. Murail will take part in two of the meetings and in the final concerts.

The concerts will take place within the Divertimento Ensemble concert season in Milan, Rondò 2023, in the Donatoni Hall of Divertimento Ensemble. Students are offered further performing opportunities, like at Piano City Milan, Festival Rondò in Piedmont, GAMO Florence concert season and/or MTR Neaples concert season.

ULYSSES Journeys offer young composers and performers the opportunity to take part in courses,  workshops and residencies, but also to have concrete working experiences, through commissions and concerts. Pianists Dmitry Batalov and Maria Iaiza were selected by the ULYSSES Network to attend the Call for Young Performers as part of their Ulysses Journey.
